Embossed labels are distinguished by the way of application:
- hot foil stamping — foil of gold, silver, blue, red and other colours is stamped at high temperature. As a result, the metal layer is transferred to the surface of the label;
- cold stamping is a more modern technology that allows to transfer metallic particles on the base using a UV-curable adhesive;
- hot stamping usually used if you need to highlight the relief of the picture or text, and the foil is not necessary in this case.
Today labels are often created by using all three methods which simplifies the manufacturing process and allows to create a unique design with the inclusion of coloured foil particles.
